Support JSAR with WA Gives

JSAR is an all-volunteer search-and-rescue organization. Because we operate on limited funds and SAR work requires some costly equipment, we are appreciative of efforts by the community to support our work.

Jefferson Search and Rescue (JSAR) is a Washington State non-profit corporation. Volunteer members are dedicated to search and rescue as well as public education for the people of Jefferson County and the Olympic Peninsula.

Since its founding in 1976, JSAR members have contributed thousands of hours in community service in searches, rescues and demanding training missions designed to give members the skills required by state and national rescue agencies.

JSAR missions are directed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, which has legal responsibility under Washington State law for search-and-rescue activities in the county. We also respond to aid Olympic National Park and other counties in Washington when additional SAR resources are requested.
