Jefferson Search and Rescue (JSAR) is a Washington State non-profit corporation. Volunteer members are dedicated to search and rescue as well as public education for the people of Jefferson County and the Olympic Peninsula.
Since its founding in 1976, JSAR members have contributed thousands of hours in community service to Search and Rescue operations and training.
JSAR missions are directed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, which has legal responsibility under Washington State law for search-and-rescue activities in the county. We also respond to aid Olympic National Park and other counties in Washington when additional SAR resources are requested.
