Jefferson Search and Rescue volunteers proudly wear a distinctive emblem adapted from traditional Northwest Coast Native symbols. Encircled by the words SEARCH, RESCUE, JEFFERSON, red squares and a red plus sign, the center of the JSAR logo depicts on a field of yellow the all-seeing eye of a searcher on the open palm of a rescuer’s helping hand. The design is also a reminder of the Northwest’s longstanding tradition of neighbors helping neighbors.
