JSAR and fire personnel assisted law enforcement with the search for an adult missing overnight in Port Townsend. Through public outreach by law enforcement, the subject was quickly located elsewhere.
JSAR personnel responded to Grays Harbor County to assist with searching for an adult mushroom hunter who had been missing overnight. The subject was located by members of the public during the search.
JSAR responded to the Lena Lake Trail on two occasions, July 14 and August 22, to locate and extract injured hikers. Both hikers were found and carried out on a wheeled litter.
Use of the Project Lifesaver system allowed JSAR and law enforcement to located quickly an adult who had wandered away from home in Port Townsend and become trapped in brush.
JSAR and fire agencies responded to Fort Worden and effected the rescue of a canine who had become trapped on the side of a bluff.
While training in the area, JSAR personnel responded to the Duckabush Flats to assist Brinnon Fire with the extraction of an injured subject. Immediately following this call, JSAR responded to the slopes of Mt Jupiter to attempt to locate a paraglider who had become trapped in a tree. The paraglider self extricated while JSAR was en route.
JSAR assisted JCSO in the recovery of a subject near the Duckabush River.
JSAR assisted JCSO and fire agencies with the lengthy search for a subject who called from a vehicle in a ditch. The subject was not aware of which road they had been traveling prior to the accident, and the vehicle’s location was obscured from the roadway by heavy brush. The subject was located after climbing to the road.
JSAR and other agencies worked to search for a women missing from a home in Brinnon. The subject was successfully tracked and located.
JSAR and surrounding SAR agencies assisted Olympic National Park with grid and canine searches of areas surrounding the trail to Olympic Hot Springs for a subject last seen at the springs. The subject was located in a later search.
JSAR responded to Ranger Hole on the Duckabush to assist JCSO with the recovery of a subject.
JSAR assisted law enforcement with the evening search for an adult subject who had wandered away from home. The subject was located by a citizen hearing a response to the subject’s shouted name. JSAR personnel responded to the location and extracted the subject from where he was trapped in heavy brush.
JSAR personnel and many other SAR units assisted law enforcement in Kitsap County with several days of searching a neighborhood for a missing child.
