Assist to Brinnon Fire

While training in the area, JSAR personnel responded to the Duckabush Flats to assist Brinnon Fire with the extraction of an injured subject. Immediately following this call, JSAR responded to the slopes of Mt Jupiter to attempt to locate a paraglider who had become trapped in a tree. The paraglider self extricated while JSAR was en route.

Port Townsend Search

JSAR assisted law enforcement with the evening search for an adult subject who had wandered away from home. The subject was located by a citizen hearing a response to the subject’s shouted name. JSAR personnel responded to the location and extracted the subject from where he was trapped in heavy brush.

The following mission summaries were preserved from an older version of this website. 2012, July 8th – Stuck on Dosewallips sandbar:  Two people stuck on a sandbar in Dosewallips river were in need of rope rescue. Rescue handled by Brinnon Fire and East Jefferson Fire prior to JSAR arrival. JSAR callout was initiated following FD4 request for resources through Jeffcom.
